Noctourniquet – The Mars Volta..
..mainly Empty Vessels.., The Malkin Jewel (its almost like a proggishly demented Beatles Come Together, no?), Lapcochka, Molochwalker and Zed and Two Naughts
And mainly for the lovely and lovingly-mental drums rather than for every single vocal melody line everywhere and am generally finding it to be probably the most decent LP effort of their post-first two albums era..
i'm still waiting for my copy to arrive…few weeks ago i had the chance to hear it entirely and was quite pleased with it…nice usage of electronics, btw…
unkle: another night out
even though they are infamous for their habit of repacking and re-realising their albums this additional album on incarnation of "where did the night fall" album is quite good…

I'm burnt on UNKLE at this stage to be honest. Have'nt really liked the rockier, more indie direction they went with after Never Never Land. The best thing about their last two records was the artwork IMO.
Listening this afternoon to "How To Destroy Angels" – a spin-off project of Trent Reznor's with his wife on vocals.

hey guys, its a pleasure to be back here =) i found this yesterday, a rapped song on a sample from "Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind"
feature=related
"It may not be much light, but it beats the darkness. be on the watch."
A tad bit on the narcissistic side, but my recording of Roger Waters in Tulsa from 2012.05.05. The advantage of being a taper, you get to relive those concerts as often as you want. :)
lisa2900 : Favorite all-time MA track?? Almost impossible for me to choose but I would have to go with "dissolved girl"....intere sted in other members responses
lisa2900 : Is anyone out there as obsessed with MA as I am? I have their icon tattooed on my body
alex banner : what are peoples thoughts on their next release. i am hoping for at least an ep of unreleased or new material and if any band is long over due an offical live dvd they are. maybe the 8 shows in manchester in june or even a compilation of the various tv footage on here and youtube. any way keep hoping
briaeos : so, is 2012 remaster/mix done properly or not?
EX : EXactly! Yeah pure egotism on my part. |. Nah not really. Just a laugh to add some snark. Reminded me of kind of good old escapist days when people logged into forums
briaeos :
briaeos : so, you just couldn't bear thah someone is having higher post count than you
EX : Have dropped by. Added some snarkitechture. 'til next time...
Richard : IE = irish domain, because i'm Irish
aleik : What does IE stands for ?
notnokker : Where's everybody these days?? Soo quite here ..
poizzenapple : glad to see the site & forum alive!!111
EX : how come you didn't just import the old database of everyone into this new site
Richard : Thanks for joining wiflag. I know of a few places where you can the cassette singles. I'll make a forum post about it later today.
wiflag : hi, does anybody here know how to get any cassette singles from blue lines and protection?
EX : Quite quiet here
EX : Other thing I was wondering was how come you didn't just import the old database of everyone into this new site
EX : Thats the one I just read the other day, but thanks!
Richard : Here's one of the best articles I read ont he subject: «link»
Richard : We advise most of our clients nowadays to go with Wordpress. Unless they're doing some advanced ecommerce thing then maybe Drupal or a custom webapp.
Richard : To get the most out of Drupal you probbaly need some sort of PHP skills.
Richard : drupal is probably the most flexible CMS of them all but it is also the one with the hardest learning curve.
Richard : joomla = crap
EX : What is your opinion of Joomla and Drupal, Richard?
briaeos : wow! ex inavsion of shoutbox!
Richard : Mad Men...yes! Love that show. Enjoy
Richard : I'm more in the online marketing end of things now. Running social media, PPC, SEO campaigns, meeting clients and advicing what their web presense should be
EX : cool... alright dude, off for a whizz then a bit of Mad Men.. take it easy geez, later
Richard : By Dublin standards I'm doing fine. Things have come down here quite a bit in the last couple years.
EX : r ur horizons stellar
EX : r u making a good living from webmastering for ppl then
EX : yeah that sounds more like it
Richard : you can take an exisiting theme and customize it greatly. Hack the code if you must.
EX : yeah its just when u see those off the shelf designs at first it seems quite amateurish and lame but I guess Ive got to give it a go
Richard : I've seen seevral which are good
Richard : With Wordpress you could go a musician/artist kindof theme
EX : haha I suppose so
Richard : Martina should be able to get you in
Richard : I would like to, but April is a bad time at work for me
Richard : Liquidsky is
EX : yeah I'm thinking about that sort of thing... blog, twitter feed... i think the phpbb forum thing alone would have to go
Richard : You can also of course auto-tweet any new posts to twitter whn you make them
EX : just wondering - u or anyone here going to the tricky/mtb maxinquaye reunion shows at all
Richard : As for EXHQ, if you made it with Wordpress, you could then have a blog talking about your music.
EX : the youtube is almost the official youtube i guess
Richard : I'm aiming to have 1000+ twitter followers by the end of the year
Richard : The youtube channel is pretty much self sustaining now. Get about 5-6 new subscribers daily to it without having to anything.
EX : Thats good its not gonna go kaput like that other host you had before... suppose youve got more experience now..
