Best Massive news all year anyway. When I get home I'll be making a blog post about it.
I just realised there's a problem with embedding media from URL's on the forum. i should be able to fix that as well when I get home.

well, from infos on other sites (and official forum) apart from remastering album was also "remixed (a bit)"!?
wtf, that means!? how much songs are changed and why (all songs or just some? subtle changes or whole new arrangements)?
and i hope that remastering would not be just another addition to loudness war…
and now question that comes naturally: will the rest of the albums get the same treatment?

Were'nt the Blue Lines tracks that were on Collected not also remastered? Honestly, I'm not too sure how much remastering you can do to tracks that are so heavily sampled based to begin with. The whole remastered = louder concern voiced by a few on Facebook could prove to be true.
As for the future, I think if it proves a decent seller for EMI, it could open the door to getting the other albums the deluxe treatment.

as i recall, all previously released tracks on collected were remastered and there was some complaining that remastering was a case of loudness war…
i can understand that tracks for dvd-a needed remastering, but i'm more worried about "remixing (a bit)". i doubt that it would end as some kind of "director's cut".
is it really possible that they were waiting for 21 years to complete their artistic vision and that they are still remembering what it was back then!? even if that really is the case, how it can be done without mushroom?
even if the all albums do get "special treatment" what would be the next step? put it all in one box set? expand singlebox with singles after mezzanine? extend already extended eleven promos from collected with videos after that and put in one box? put all that in one big box set?

Well I would hate to say, "this is just about money", so I won't.
But enormous temptation to test the heat resistance effect of this with matches. Like the MA first box set. Anticipating a greyish, ashen, carbon-y outcome
