The Deluxe Box which will contain the CD, DVD with 96K/24 bit high resolution audio files, the album split over two 180g vinyl LPs and the original 24” x 18” Blue Lines promo poster.
Just saying, but it might have made more sense releasing this last year, what with it being the then 20th anniversary, but rather belatedly or not, Blue Lines will be getting released this 19th November in remastered guise.
It was announced earlier today on Facebook (where else?, maybe MassiveAttack.com might also have been suitable, seeing as it is the official site and all  ) and has from when I'm making this blog post roughly 12 hours later, already received over 10,000 likes and 500 comments, so it seems the response from the fans has been favourable, or at least its definitely sparked off some discussion which is always a good thing.

The standard CD was only £16 when I looked at it the other day. Amazon's pre-orders tend to flucatate a bit. Hopefully from now until release, it will be a downward trend.
Also another thing that's just popped up online in the last few days I've taken notice of is this - Massive Attack have have their own YouTube Channel. I suppose I've been filling in for them when it comes to YouTube in the last few years, but its about time they got their own channel.

Nothing too exciting about it at the moment as it has no videos yet, but one to keep an eye on. Someone else used to own that channel username "massiveattack" going back to 2006. I wonder if they bought it off them or not.

well, deluxe edition is now just £111.17
yes, i'm quite aware that amazon's pre-order prices have tendency to fluctuate from insanely low to even more insanely high at almost random manner, but even starting price of £16 is a little bit high-ish because for some time now new releases (mostly standard editions) are around
damn, still no useful info about what is remixing all about…even banner on official site emphasises term remix (remastering isn't mentioned at all)…i wonder if this is some new marketing scheme because of negative connotations of remastering old releases because of loudness war…

well standard edition is at standard price finally (9.99), and boxest's price decreased to 78.00…
btw i've found about article about bad mastering on collected:

09. Massive Attack - Collected
This is oh-so-subtle, but it’s annoying. Take your CD of Mezzanine and take your CD of Collected, and play “Angel” back-to-back from one to the other. Notice how on the original album that ominous bass fades in from nothing; sense how deep it goes; see how sharp the rimshot is; feel the air around the bass drum and the shock of the guitars entering. But from this year’s beautifully-packaged Best Of, surreptitiously remastered, the bass is jarringly there from the get go, all width and no depth; the rimshot is flabby and indistinct; and there’s no sense of air or space. It’s like that for the rest of the CD—“Unfinished Sympathy” seems to have more of an impact on first listen but it’s less satisfying on repeated exposure, the strings that should soar are backgrounded, their timbre masked.
