This is a DVD with two seperate TV documentaries. The first one, offering an insight into Daddy G’s favourite musical moments from his youth. The other one, a general overview of how soul and black-orientated music has seaped into and changed the British music scene from the earlier eighties onwards, at times touching on the Bristol soundsystem scene and covering the earlier Massive Attack sound. Daddy G is also one of the guest interviewees in this documentary. Together this DVD should give the viewer a better understanding of Massive Attack’s conception i.e Massive’s roots.

Notes: This documentary was part of the “All Back To Mine” music series broadcast on Channel 4 during the late nineties. This particular Daddy G segment was produced and broadcasted sometime during 1999. The presenter interviewing Daddy G here was Sean Rowley, as they discuss some of his favourite musical tracks and earlier inspirations.
