Win Tickets To See Massive Attack In London!

I'm happy to announce the first competition from MASSIVEATTACK.IE. I've been wanting to run a competition like this since opening the site and I'm pretty excited to see Massive Attack now in London this September, so naturally I'd combine the two somewhat to make it even more memorable.

The Prize
It's a forum based competition with a chance of winning 2 free standing tickets to attend either night (17th or 18th September) of Massive Attack's highly anticipated stay at the Brixton Academy, in London.
There will be two overall winners who will receive tickets to one or the other of the Brixton nights. The Brixton shows will probably be the most sought after of all of Massive Attack's UK tour and will likely sell-out soon enough. The tickets are standing, so at Brixton Academy, you will be able to get up as close as you want to the action on stage!

How To Enter
This very thread that your reading is your opportunity to enter. It's a forum based competition so, you will need to become a member of the MASSIVEATTACK.IE forum, if your not already. Register if that be the case. No email validation is required to register, but please use a real email so I can contact the winner(s) after the competition closes.
Once registered, what you need to do is post a reply to this same thread: "Win Tickets To See Massive Attack In London!".
Not just any post though. I would like entrants to make a quick summary about why they like/love Massive Attack's music, why they're fans of Massive Attack, why they want to see them live etc... Something along those lines, be creative! It needs to be short though, no more than 50 words. The shorter probably the better, while still getting across your feelings. If you've got a preference for which of the two dates you would like to win (either the 17th or 18th) then you can also state that in your entry.
All the posts in this thread by members will be treated as entrants to the competition, so do not post here unless you want to enter!

Competition Closing Time
The closing date for the competition will not be until the 4th September, so there will be plenty of time over the summer, to get your entry/post in. On that date, myself and one or two other forum members will judge the entries and pick the two we feel best sum up that fan's appreciation for Massive Attack in whatever way. I will get in contact with the two winners then and can arrange either registered post for the tickets or I can meet in person with the winner(s) outside the venue on the day of the show to hand off the tickets.

Promotion
This is just to anyone who will not be entering the competition. I could use your help in promoting the competition over the summer. If anyone has a blog/website or posts on another forum that may be interested in the tickets then please get the word out! The link to use to promote the competition is:

http://www.massiveattack.ie/competition/

Thanks for reading this far and good luck to the entrants!

Well he coulda made them balcony................................. just kidding.

Was thinking of running my own competition, "Win Location of Marc Picken's new office!" but decided to backburn that nugget for now. Or maybe I'll just give the prize to everybody next week

Backburn, hey, that could be a name for LP5............................... not that it will be.

If one is intending to go to the bar /VIPzone best to arrive there for fleecing early too whilst its still reasonably catswingable

I want to enter competion to ticket for London 18 september
massive attack is not afraid to speak his mnd on political issues
he with Damon Alburn to oppose the war in Iraq.he has donated finance to anti racist campaigns to stop the BNP from getting elected
his music to me is real and alive. people whom he introduces as Horace Andy, Sinead o Connor, have put back what has been given to them. they are in touch with reality

Tempting, but going from Oslo to London is a bit too much trouble and I'll probably end up paying the prices of the tickets and more if I do get them :P
Cheers to whoever wins though, I'll just hope they'll tour Norway this year and/or Belgium next year.. they know of Norway's existence, don't they?

The Music most of all too

I've never been to a concert and not just some band playing, i mean this would mean alot to me to see, especially them overseas for the first time in my life.

Oh man, what a beautiful band, they've been breaking barriers for blacks and whites as well, since the Wild Bunch, all colors of the world.

The Lights, the sound system bleeding my ears to death, I beg to go to England too even if i have no money.

Well, I can't really write anything witty or insightfull that much about Massive. Maybe I could draw a picture? OK, here's my argument, I've never won anything in my short life so please God, maybe this will be where it all turns around Come on Brixton Massive
