14th July 2006 - Summercase Festival, Barcelona, Spain
Back again to the main stage, where Massive Attack, the founders of downbeat electronica, delivered nothing less than the festival’s main and deepest disappointment. During their 2003 tour, Massive Attack were still able to convince the crowds with a classy performance and a futuristic stage show, cold as ice, but artistically on top. Only three years later, the band displays itself in a creative deadlock, unable to develop its musical concept, unable to connect to the audience, just repeating themselves for ever and ever. Sad to see, sad to listen to.
