Full 2010 Tour Dates Revealed
Following on from a handful of successful shows in the UK and Mexico in February, Massive Attack’s live show will be hitting Australia and the States this Spring going into Summer. In Australia’s case, it will be a full 7 years since the last time they toured there. A much needed return for all the Aussie fans then! The guest vocalists are expected to be the same as the recent European tour with Horace Andy, Deborah Miller and Martina Topley Bird (also providing support for each show) tagging along. As you can tell from the dates below, Massive Attack will be finishing up the tour with a return to Europe, where they will be playing mostly festival dates to round out the year.
In other related touring news, while this is a completely unconfirmed report, Massive Attack are hoping to stage a reenactment of the Vangelis soundtrack for Blade Runner with a live orchestra , while they are in New York this May, in the world famous Carnegie Hall. If this goes ahead as planned, it will be similar to when they, in conjunction with the Heritage Orchestra, performed the Blade Runner score during their curatorship of the 2008 Meltdown Festival.
