Splitting The Atom is out today and marks the first properly released material from Massive Attack in 3 years. The EP serves as a preview for the as yet unnamed new album which is due out on the 8th February next year.

You have a few different options available to purchase the EP. Digital Downloads free from any pesky DRM are available from ITunes and 7Digital. There is no physical release of the EP on CD, but to make up for that slightly disappointing fact, a limited vinyl edition (of only 1000) is being sold exclusively by The Vinyl Factory, who have been known in the past for crafting some exquisite vinyl editions for the likes of Primal Scream, Pet Shop Boys and Damon Albarn. The Vinyl Factory touts this edition of the EP as “beautifully presented and individually numbered vinyl and art edition has been crafted by The Vinyl Factory, working in close collaboration with Massive’s Robert del Naja and designer Tom Hingston”.

And more about myself than anything else but, Roll on Dublin tomorrow!
