5th October 2006 Roseland Ballroom, New York, USA
The sound was not as good as it should have been, I also am a profesional sound person, and i have seen a few shows at Roseland. When I found out that Massive was playing there, I was a bit pissed because Roseland is one of the worst sounding venues of that size in NYC. Massive is a band that uses a ton of bass, but the room is not big enough to let the low freq waves fully develop. I was also frustrated a bit, but im sure the eneineer was even more frustrated. The only thing he could have done in my opinon would be to boost the high mids and let us rock with it. But because the accoustics sucked so bad, it seemed like they turned everything down. Oh well, it was still an amazing show….and rare, so consider yourself lucky to have even seen them. BTW the new Nokia theater in Time Square has great acoustics. I saw Jamiroqui there a year ago…amazing sound. Massive should have played there..Happy trails!

This was the last show of a three night residency by Massive Attack in New York. These New York shows also marked the return of Daddy G to the live tour after missing the first half of the North American tour in September because of paternity leave. Because of Daddy G’s return, Karmacoma was added back onto the setlist, after it had been missing owing to Daddy G’s absense.
Unconfirmed reports state that former Massive Attack collaborator and music icon, Madonna was present at this show as a special VIP guest.
