9th June 2008 - Saku Arena, Tallinn, Estonia
Right, so where to begin… When I read that they were supposed to play new songs I kind of assumed that it meant 16 Seeter and possibly some other new track, but they really surprised everyone with the majority of the set dedicated to the new material and we got 8 new songs (well including 16 Seeter). As for the show in general, the band seemed incredibly excited all around with D shadowboxing during Mezzanine and Horace Andy doing some improptu dancing during 16 Seeter.
All in all, I’d say it was easily the best gig I’ve been to and I’m still buzzing over the fact that they are showcasing almost the entire new album on this tour, and that its shaping up to be their best one yet Very Happy Just don’t miss this thing when it hits your town!

This was the inaugural first show for Massive Attack on their 2008 tour, which would see them go throughout Europe over the summer from their soon to be next album.
This show has the distinction as well as being the very first time an audience would hear much of the material from the new album with a total of seven brand new previously unheard of songs. An eight song, 16 Seeter could also be concidered a new song but it had been played previously before on the Iberian mini-tour in the previous year. The seven new songs debuted on this date were in this order - All I Want, Marooned, Kingpin, Harpsichord, Red Light, Marakesh and Dobro.
As far as tour personal, this was the first show to feature Bristol based soul singer Yolanda Quarty and American soul singer Stephanie Dosen, who were each subbing for Deborah Miller and Elizabeth Fraser respectively. John Baggott who had previously played as live keyboardist for Portishead would also fill the same position with Massive Attack here for remainder of the 2008 tour after replacing Arden Hart.
