10th July 2008 - Krizanke Monastery, Ljubljana, Slovenia
Who would thought that almost 9 and half years passed after i first saw them playing live and almost 5 years passed after i saw them playing live last time…damn, i’m getting old…
So, I found myself standing in almost perfect spot (little bit above soundboard with no obstructions in forms of very tall persons who would block my view) in sold out venue… audience was very enthusiastic and responded quite well to the new stuff… band seemed to be in good mood…sound was quite good and powerful with occasional problems but that is what are gigs about…
As I said before it was great but still little bit weaker than on 2003 tour…i guess that one of the main reasons was that half material played on this tour consists of new stuff (and that is quite brave thing to do) so there are unavoidable ups and downs in overall atmosphere because even though the new stuff is quite good and bootlegs are floating around there was no time to be absorbed to the wider audience…
Old songs (excluding teardrop, which if there is justice in this world should be stopped being preformed live, and unfinished sympathy) are more powerful and meaner than ever (nice dub-y effects on mez, sfh is became prog monster, rsn, icr and agl are more aggressive than ever) with noticeable streaming towards prog (it seems that as they grow old they lean to the prog-side of the music more and more)…
