24th July 2008 - Fourvière, Lyon, France
The show of Massive Attack was perfect. A superb concert once again, lights, vocals etc… Daddy and Robert spoke French during all the show. Which was fun and I appreciated that efforts lol…The setlist was the same as in Carcassonne, they just changed the order of the songs. While Charly made the fotos of, DG and I were in the pit on a little step so we could see the stage perfectly. The public was amazing and appreciated the new tracks. Then just before the end of the concert, the fans started playing freesbee with cushions that we received. It was really magical like a big confetti’s battle ! Never saw that before!! The cushions started to fly on stage and we began a battle between the musicians, roadies and the fans…sooo fun. Andrew Small which is apparently also photographer of this tour started to film the scene. They just left a moment the stage and suddenly they returned all together to make another battle…fucking beautiful LOL!! Daddy hid his head in his jacket thanks to him a micro fall down LOL!! A chance that the instruments were saved!! Simply giant!!

Support for this show was provided by Checkpoint 303, a non-profit musical collective from the emerging Arabic and Middle-eastern underground electronica scene, who happen to be based in Lyon. Checkpoint 303 had previously supported Massive Attack at their HOPING benefit shows held in the UK in February 2007.
