Review:

This was my first chance to see MA live and I was thoroughly impressed. Daddy G is still MIA, which was a disappointment as he was missed on RISINGSON and a few others, but the appearance of Liz Fraser and Horace Andy, not to mention some incredible vocals by Deborah Miller (particularly on Unfinished Sympathy) filled the void admirably. Robert had one brief and barely intelligible political commentary before SAFE FROM HARM and his shadowbox dancing was pretty funny. Highlights for me were Liz and Horace back-to-back with TEARDROP and ANGEL and an inspired encore with a ripping rendition of INERTIA CREEPS, Deborah’s amazing vocals on UNFINISHED SYMPATHY and the epic version of GROUP FOUR. I was also pleased how well some of the 100th Window songs translated live… WHAT A SHOW! The set list was pretty much as advertised previously but with MAN NEXT DOOR taking the place of KARMACOMA.
