23rd April 2003 - Zenith, Paris, France
Hey! What a good night i’ve had!! Let’s take it from the beginning. I arrived at the Zenith at 4:30pm. Nobody in front of the grid. So i laid down in the grass at the sun, near a percussion band. At 5pm, i heard massive crew rehearsing. Pressure increased. I went to the grids, and waited for the guys to open them until 7pm. Meanwhile, i was looking for Pee who never came (normal, he’s coming tomorrow). I had put my camera and my recorder+mike in a bag full of clothes. They didn’t spotted them. Once in the venue, i took a good seat, 4 lines above the soundcheck. And i recorded the amazing gig!
Amazing, that’s the word. I had heard about the visual, but they are 100000x above what i was expecting. My GOD!!! So beautiful I have taken pictures too, but as i was too far away, i had to use my digital zoom, which looked good on the LCD cam, but not on the computer. Anyway, i’ll take more pictures tomorrow and friday. Did some small vids too, looks nice. I have to say, i’m in love with dot and deborah, they are gorgeous and know how to move their body. Robert himself moved his body, but it was less sexy Wink He moves like a robot, finally i’ve found someone even more stiff than me! I liked the fan sentences during Group Four. Saw yours, Avalanche.
What else, i’m chaotic. THE SCREEN WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE DEB AND DOT G has the Voice Horace has the groove
I saw the weirdest thing of my life tonight. There was a column of LEDs at the left of the stage, only lighten before the show. And when you moved your head or your eyes quickly or blink them, the colum was transforming into a RED CROSS CIRCLED!!!!!! I assume each LED was blinking with a special frequency to do this effect, but duh, that’s cool.

This show was part of a three night residency by Massive Attack in Paris.
Dot Allison would provide support for this show in the form of an accoutic guitar performance.
The official site for the Zenith is located here.
