3rd June 2003 - Tony Garnier Hall, Lyon, France
The show began at 8:30 pm. Dot was in great shape, very happy, dancing…so cute and simple. she introduced her and almost excused herself for doing the warm up. her performance was ok, as usual, but too mellow to warm up the audience before Massive. 40mn after, Dee arrives on stage. he seemed a bit stressed and tired. Future proof was very good, but i the end the music was covering his voice, so nice i have to say.
I was right in front of the stage near the bass, at the end i was almost deaf, but what the fuck! it was worth it ! Horace was just himself as usual : happy, great voice, good dancer contrary to what some people said. Everywhen, sounds a bit different from the cd.
Risingson : Gee looks so happy; Dee relaxes a little. he thanks us all for being here and being able to enjoy good music not like in england. i think what happened before really affected him, very badly. i felt sad for him but he knows that the fans will always support him, no matter what. we didn’t belive any words of those bullshit, shitty accusations ( u know what i’m talking about). Gee was so cool, he wore Birkenstock shoes, like mines. it looks like i’ll never wear them the same way again Wink They played Karmacoma Very Happy , D & G were joking together, getting along very well..
D seemed more at ease on stage surrounded by G or Debbie. he sang particularly well yesterday. his voice was just perfect, just like D. they sang Mezzanine together, almost every lines, just like Karmacoma and Risingson. AWESOME ! Safe from Harm, Unfinished Sympathy: so powerful !! everbody was dancing, singing, screaming…i can’t describe it.. i’ll pass for the other songs ‘coz it ‘ll be too long : i insist on that : absolutly perfect gig !!! they gave us everything they had. i’ll never get over it…

Dot Allison would provide support for this show in the form of an accoutic guitar performance.
