Review:

(The hungarians reading this forum will want to kill me when i’m going to tell this story)

Right after the brilliant concert of MA i tried to find in some degree quiet place to listen to the record i’ve made during the concert, so i took directon vip stage, which way the crowd couldn’t leave. i diagnosed sadly, that the record is of very poor quality, but then i noticed a smaller group of about 10-15 people staring at a window. i went closer and saw the band inside! next second Dee opened the window and shook hands with one of the girls, and told us to come in. a few minutes later Winston Blissett came out to get us backstage. in there we had the opportunity to speak to everyone, Robert gave me two kisses which made me so awed i could only grin like an idiot - but i managed to overcome this and i could speak like a reasonable person to Daddy G - a lovely guy! a nice welsh couple came with us hungarian lot, and Gee got them instantly on the vip list for their next show in Bristol!

I spoke a few words to Stephanie Dosen (she had a huge bug crawling on her back into her hair while singing Teardrop, mind) and Yolanda Quarty (same bugs problem while Safe from Harm - she tried not to swallow any…) a nice bristolian lady with loads of talent! meanwhile Gee served us something to drink (you don’t usually get a drink from a music legend, don’t ya?) we talked with Dee about Banksy, the local news he checks before every gig and stuff like that. than Horace Andy came along and adviced us not to smoke, because it can only do wrong - just like a lovely grandpa. he asked about the evening-star which was clear to see on that night (sky-larker Smile ). went on with Angelo Bruschini talking about Quimby, but he didn’t really like them so the conversation gut struck…

I congratulated Winston, and it turned out that my name is just like his daughters’ Smile. he has made a huge trip in Siófok, looking around experiencing the city. After a while we went down to the beach of lake Balaton with Winston, Damon Reece and Johnny Baggott. Damon wasn’t really aware of in whitch country he was atm, but i can imagine how hard that can be after touring half of europe within such a short time. With Johnny we talked about cultural differences and culture shocks - it was very interesting to listen to such open minded people. in short, i was delighted to be in company of such friendly, kind, lovely, interested and open minded people. i can only speak in superlatives. no sign of loftiness, disdain or anything like that, what you can experience with other music/showbiz folks. if you’ld meet them on the streets somewhere, they would be probably just as lovely as they were that night. I can hardly wait to meet you again guys!
